REQUIRED INGREDIENTS:
Amudam Tree Roots (Castor) 1 Kg
Pure Drinking Water   4 Kgs
Castor oil(Vanta amudham) 1 Kg
Pepper      20 grams
Pippali Powder    20 grams
Karpura Powder    20 grams
PROCEDURE:
Take Amudham tree roots(1 kg) and grind and collect it in a vessel.
Add Pure water to it and place it on stove.
Boil it on slim fire till 1 kg of kashayam is remaining and filter it to obtain kashayam.
Place the Kashayam again on stove and add Castor oil to it.
Boil it on slim fire till only Castor oil remains.
Again filter it and add fine powder of pepper, pippali and karpura to it.
Mix it properly and preserve it in a box with closed lid.
This recepe is called Eranda Thailam.
USAGE:
This oil can be used by those people who are suffering from joint pains, joint swellings etc.
Twice a day before taking bath take some oil and make it warm.
Massage it on the joints which are causing pains.
Regular exercise along with this massage will make joint pains disappear

Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Obesity

1.Take lot of fresh fruits daily.
2.Take at least 10 glasses of water daily.
3.Exercise daily – if no other exercise regime seems to fit you, try brisk
walking for half an hour daily early morning. Swimming is the best exercise. Try
bicycling, running, badminton etc on a regular basis. Walking is enough if nothing
else is feasible.
4.Take a glass of carrot juice after the walk.
5. Include tomato, cabbage, lime juice, honey and mint in your daily intake of
food.
6. Avoid milk products like ice cream, butter, cheese, etc.
7. Avoid alcohol.
8. Avoid high-carb food like chocolate, sweets and overly cooked pastries, fast
food, etc.
9. Instead of two or three big meals, take four light meals at 3-4 hours apart.
10. Minimize intake of salt.
11. Include ginger, pepper, cinnamon, etc in cooking.
12. Substitute rice with wheat.
13. Take a teaspoon of honey daily.
Guggulu (Commiphora Mukul) is used in the treatment of obesity. Take Guggulu with
triphala.

How to make it –

Heat one cup water, add half TSP ginger, half TSP dalchina and chitikedu yalakula podi. Keep lid, Put off the stove. If necessary put1/4 cup milk. For sweet add sugar.

Sugar causes obesity.

Uses: Creates hunger. No foul smell in the mouth.

Good for obesity persons.

Good for Diabetics.

 There should be some time gap between food and tea.

1 ½ cup rose petals-made to paste
¾ cup hot water
yalukula podi
¾ tsp sugar

Keep hot water in a small bowel and keep it in a big vessel and put in that rose paste and yalukala powder and keep overnight. Filter. Sugar to be put in water in a small bowl and keep it in hot water kept in a big wide open bowl to mix the sugar mix. Filter and cool. Add lemon juice and pomegranate juice. This mix is to be mixed with the five cups water.

Can be taken with ice cubes. Good drink to be taken in summer days.

6.  Oil for dry and brittle (chitlina) hair.

2 TSP (10 ml) coconut oil/badam oil/olive oil.
1 TSP lemon juice

Mix and rinse and apply. Wait for sometime. Take bath with ordinary water (non-hot)

Shampoos not to be used.

7.            Vamu choornam – good for stomach ache, kapham.

Five grams vamu choornam, fried and powdered. Mix with 2 grams black salt
To be taken with water,
